Everyone welcome
Accessibility
We want everyone to be able to use this site and to come and meet the animals. If any part of it gets in your way, tell us and we will put it right.
Having trouble with this site?
Email us and a person will reply, with what is hatching or due next, prices, how reserving works, or anything else on these pages.
It helps if you can tell us what you were trying to do and what you were using: a screen reader, a keyboard, a phone, voice control.
How this site is built
These pages are built to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, the standard most often used to measure websites under the Americans with Disabilities Act. In practice that means:
- Everything works from a keyboard, with a clear outline on whatever has focus and a link at the top of each page to skip straight to the content.
- Headings, lists and page regions are marked up so a screen reader can announce them and move between them.
- Every photo has a text description.
- Text has strong contrast against the page in both the light and the dark theme, and nothing depends on color alone.
- You can zoom to 400% or enlarge your text and the page reflows, with no sideways scrolling and nothing cut off.
- Links and buttons are large enough to tap comfortably.
- Nothing flashes or times out, and motion is turned off if your device asks for reduced motion.
Visiting the farm
Visits are by appointment. If there is anything you need to make a visit work for you, tell us when you message and we will plan around it.
